Image
Wow its just about the end of February! Spring is right around the corner and so is my Birthday! Just a couple more weeks and I will be 28. Yikes! lol I don't worry to much about getting older though I am now at that age where I can say "when I was a kid". I've got actual stories to tell, not good ones mind you but still stories! Anyway on with the faves! Music Lets start with the new Katy Perry album Prism. Oh wow is it good! I have been listening to it non stop after her performance at the Grammy's I was hooked. Dark Horse, Legendary Lovers and Walking on Air are real standout for me. But really the entire things is wonderful! Okay I have to talk about 2 Cellos . I can't even express how much I loves these guys! A Pagan page I follow on Facebook posted a link to them playing Thunderstruck and I was blown away! I spent the next hour on their YouTube page rocking out. They are so talented and make any song that much more beautiful! Go have a listen for...

So it's been a couple of weeks since my last  blog post and the reason for that is I got a severe sinus infection with led to a sever tooth infections. I was all infected! After three different rounds of antibiotics I am finally on the mend. I have learned a few things from this experience, first was how to sleep sitting up, second was how to eat without using my teeth and third was no matter how afraid of the dentist you are GO! No matter how well you brush and floss you still need twice yearly checkups! I was well enough to attend a local "black tie" fundraiser. I've gone the past three years and it's always fun. This year though I got to really play with my makeup, I felt like a proper lady in my dress, nude open toe stilettos and false lashes. As vain as that sounds I really felt nice. The copious amount of wine I had helped also. The food was great! I had some things I've never tried like oysters and lamb. Other then that I've been brain...

Okie dokie then! I love watching monthly "Favorite" videos on YouTube and reading them on blogs so I thought why not start off the new year with some of my faves! I hope to keep this a monthly thing and will include beauty, fashion, TV, movies, music and other random tid bits! Enjoy! My Monthly Favorites for January 2014 Lets start off with some Beauty things. I admit I am new to the game from "professional" makeup and so some of these things many, many of you already know about but to me they are new an exciting! Real Techniques brushes by Sam Chapman. Okay so I am in love with these brushes! They are so soft and so easy for beginners like myself to use. I bought mine from my local Super Wal-Mart. I got a set of eye brushes and then one powder brush. I have used them all and cleaned them once and I have to say they are worth it. Next I have some skin care faves. I have had a horrible time with acne since I was 13. I have tried just abut everythin...

Dark Horse

So as you may or may not know the Grammy Awards was on TV Sunday the 26th of January. I DVR'ed it and kinda skipped through a bunch of it. The live music was wonderful and I was pleasantly surprised by the winners. Anyway here's what caught my eye at this years Grammy s. I am so in love with P!nk, she is amazing and brilliant. He high flying act was classic P!nk and her duet with Nate from F.U.N was vocally stunning. Her red carpet dress was very mature yet bold and her stage clothes were fierce. From that lace body suit to the velvet skirt and platform stilettos. So in awe by this woman. I would love to see her perform live one day. So good. Katy Perry was also wonderful that night. I am loving this darker side of her. She performed one of her new songs called Dark Horse and it had a whole witchy/magical theme about it. The theatrics that night were very "Witch". From a crystal ball, to brooms, a ring of fire and a celestial black horse. Her red carpet dress was ...

"Pet Parent"

"I'm not his fucking parent" I shared a picture on my personal facebook wall that said "Share if you're the proud parent of a rescued animal." I shared it with out another thought. When my *friend made the above (paraphrased) comment I was slightly confused and had to re-read the picture I shared. I even thought about what she said all that day, into the night and even woke up at 3am thinking about her comment. I wasn't offended by her comment, at all, I was mostly curious about this anti-pet parent movement that seams to be happening. I've heard/read it several other times and read a few blog posts about it as well. As an animal lover I thought I would share my opinion on the mantle of "Pet Parent" I don't mind it. At all. I am, buy law, my animals owner. In my heart they are my children. I don't have human children, I will never have human children. I don't like kids and would prefer to spend my life with my animals. Do ...

I'll Get You My Pretty!

I, like most people love Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks movies. Hell, I love almost all movies but some of the animated ones are truly great. Some of my all time favorites are Hercules, Aladdin, Tangled, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo and 101 Dalmatians. Like the majority of most watches these movies I too root for the good guy and enjoy seeing them triumph over Evil and come out of the darkness. But... There is a part of me, a rather large part that loves the Villains. Sometimes they are just so much more fun and different. Some of my favorites are Mother Gothal, Hades, Jafar, Ursula, Crulella D'evil, Maleficent, Scar and Khan. Even some of the live action ones like Tom Hiddelson as Loki, Heath Ledgers as Joker, Uma Therman as Poison Ivy. They are all just kinda likable in their own messed up Evil ways. Plus they always have such awesome wardrobes. Credit Link
