Hey everyone! So, Monday evening (Memorial Day) a rather substantial storm came through our area and knocked our power out. No big deal, been there done that. But about five minutes after it went out our house was hit buy lightning. Like literally hit with a bolt of lightning. It scared the ever loving piss out of everyone in the house. It knocked things off of shelves, broke a light fixture, blew the cover off of a light switch, sparks came out of a plugin and there was fire coming from behind the oven. It caught the curtains in the kitchen aflame. We got the fires out with minimum damage but it sure was a scary ordeal. Electricity. You do not realize how much you depend on it until it's gone. Not just for lights to see but the AC, fridge, freezer, washer, dryer, hot water heater. Not to mention I work from home, so yeah, it's been rough. But I have learned a few things.
