Dark Horse

So as you may or may not know the Grammy Awards was on TV Sunday the 26th of January. I DVR'ed it and kinda skipped through a bunch of it. The live music was wonderful and I was pleasantly surprised by the winners. Anyway here's what caught my eye at this years Grammy s. I am so in love with P!nk, she is amazing and brilliant. He high flying act was classic P!nk and her duet with Nate from F.U.N was vocally stunning. Her red carpet dress was very mature yet bold and her stage clothes were fierce. From that lace body suit to the velvet skirt and platform stilettos. So in awe by this woman. I would love to see her perform live one day. So good. Katy Perry was also wonderful that night. I am loving this darker side of her. She performed one of her new songs called Dark Horse and it had a whole witchy/magical theme about it. The theatrics that night were very "Witch". From a crystal ball, to brooms, a ring of fire and a celestial black horse. Her red carpet dress was

"Pet Parent"

"I'm not his fucking parent" I shared a picture on my personal facebook wall that said "Share if you're the proud parent of a rescued animal." I shared it with out another thought. When my *friend made the above (paraphrased) comment I was slightly confused and had to re-read the picture I shared. I even thought about what she said all that day, into the night and even woke up at 3am thinking about her comment. I wasn't offended by her comment, at all, I was mostly curious about this anti-pet parent movement that seams to be happening. I've heard/read it several other times and read a few blog posts about it as well. As an animal lover I thought I would share my opinion on the mantle of "Pet Parent" I don't mind it. At all. I am, buy law, my animals owner. In my heart they are my children. I don't have human children, I will never have human children. I don't like kids and would prefer to spend my life with my animals. I, like most people love Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks movies. Hell, I love almost all movies but some of the animated ones are truly great. Some of my all time favorites are Hercules, Aladdin, Tangled, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo and 101 Dalmatians. Like the majority of most watches these movies I too root for the good guy and enjoy seeing them triumph over Evil and come out of the darkness. But... There is a part of me, a rather large part that loves the Villains. Sometimes they are just so much more fun and different. Some of my favorites are Mother Gothal, Hades, Jafar, Ursula, Crulella D'evil, Maleficent, Scar and Khan. Even some of the live action ones like Tom Hiddelson as Loki, Heath Ledgers as Joker, Uma Therman as Poison Ivy. They are all just kinda likable in their own messed up Evil ways. Plus they always have such awesome wardrobes. Credit Link

2014? The New Year Is Upon Us!

Wow, it's been another 365 days! I have spent the last 30 days away from home and my beloved internet. I spent Christmas and New Years Eve house/dog sitting. It was a kinda nice stay-cation. I got to sleep in, watch The Dog Whisperer and Dogtown on NatGeoWild. The LOGO channel and lots of movies! Being without the internet was slightly cathartic. I also was without my DVR and had to spend a few days catching up on all my Shows. I did have Social Media to keep me updated on the World but anyway this is kinda rambly and weird lol. Moving on then! Christmas was stressful yet enjoyable this year. It was the first year in 3 years my younger brother was with us and the first year in 10 years we did not do Secret Santa. I was pleasantly surprised by the gifts that I received. I was totally not expecting anything and everything I got was perfect. I guess my family knows me more then I thought the did. My Mother and Gran gave me a Vera Bradly purse, some snicker-doodle coffee and $50 in o
