They say it's your birthday! It's My birthday too!

Hey there!

It feels like it's been forever since I made a blog post. I've been quite busy with work and now Spring Break and you know, things. Anyway on with the blogging!

March 16th marked my 28th birthday. It feels like the past 10 years have just flew by but somehow I don't feel any older then I always did. What has changed is how people treat me. I'm no longer the youngest one in a group or the odd one out when going to functions with my Mother for her work. Its getting ever more difficult to tell the age of people younger then I. What gets me the most is the memories I can share with people. I've done relatively minor things but I've now I've got something to say and an articulated opinion to express and other people actually take my at my word. I feel pretty good about my self for the most part. So onward and upward!

As the years go by it seams like the older we get the longer we drag out our birthdays. This year I decided that I would have an entire Birthday Week. So on the 11th , my Mother, my self and my Brother went to Paris (Texas). We had lunch at Applebee's, we shared Wanton Tacos and soft pretzels. So good! We did a little shopping, I bought some lashes and mascara and got a new pair of pink Champion tennis/walking shoes. Spent a good amount of time in PETCO, all I picked up there was cat food and hamster food but I love just being about all the pet stuffs.

Then on the 15th my Mother, my Gran, my self all went over to our friend Tonya and Jimmies house for dinner, dessert and games! So much fun. Jimmie grilled steaks, we had avocado salad, green salad, crescent rolls, and baked potatoes. For desert Tonya made my favorite cake of all time a double layer Chocolate Almond Sensation Cake. Oh my goddess it's to die for! She also made chocolate covered strawberries. We talked and ate and played  a board game called Sequence and had a wonderful time!

The on the 17th we all went over to my Sisters house and had dinner, dessert and played more games! Over all a pretty darn good birthday week if I do say so.

I did get a few gifts, I was not expecting anything at all though. Below are pictures of the things I got plus I got so many facebook birthday wishes and some cash from a few of my awesome grooming clients.

Vera Bradly dog collar and leash. $50 gift card. From my Mom and Gran.
Hand made lotion and soap from Tonya and Jimmie. Not pictured a beautiful necklace and earrings set.
Sock puppet card and cash from my Sister.

Thank you to everyone in my life for making this one very special birthday. Much love to you all!

Ta for now,
Kayla
