March Favorites! 2014
So it's that time of the month again where I share a few of my favorite things! I tried to film a video but apparently I'm an idiot and nothing turned out right lol so for now it's just a regular bog post!
First off my hair is/was PURPLE! Yes, I have always wanted my hair to be a vibrant color and this go around I went rather bold and had the lower half of my hair "ombre" or what ever you want to call it. It started out purple but has faded to a magenta color which I don't mind. I would however like to have it a deep purple but I'm not sure that possible.
I have also found an awesome mascara, it's the Maybelline The Mega Plush Volume Express. It has a nice gel formula that goes on really nicely and doesn't clump. I've had a hard time finding a good mascara but this one seams to be pretty darn good. It's light weight, good pigment (I have it in Blackest Black K900) It has a nice brush with varying lengths of bristles that helps me get right up next to the lash line.
Essence of Beauty hand/body lotions. These little tubes of goodness are a must have! In December my Mother participated in a "Jar Exchange" at her work and she came home with a jar of these lotions. I didn't think much of them when she got them other then they smelled good. But I had one in my purse and when I had to get another tube out of the jar this month I realized how much I like this stuff! It goes on smoothly, absorbs nicely and smells great! I believe you can get them from CVS.
This month I have a few recommendations of books, movies and TV.
For the Movies I have two - Need For Speed. Oh My Goodness! This movie was perfect. It had action, adventure, romance and comedy. It's based off of the video game of the same name. I've never played the game so I don't know how well it compares; I'm not really one to compare anyway but....yeah. I loved it and will totally be adding it to me collection. The second one is a 2005 movie called Cursed. It is about a werewolf and the havoc it creates. It's just one of those good, have a glass of wine and watch it in the dark kinds of movies.
For Books this month I have been reading - The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison. I love the Rachel Morgan series and this one is right up there. If you have never read any of these books start with the first one Dead Witch Walking. It's a fun, action, fantasy about a Witch and her life and trails. I couldn't put it down <3
As for a TV show this month marked the end of a super good series - Psych on the USA network. It's been on for 8 season, it's a buddy cop show that is so much more. It's witty, funny, smart and quotable. I will definitely be adding it to my collection.
