Twister!

ABC Family has mini movie marathons during the summer and this year they showed Twister, the classic 1996 action movie. I set my DVR and this afternoon I sat down to watch it.

It's been well over 5 years since I have last seen this movie, but, from the opening credits I knew every word and what parts they cut out to make it fit its allotted time slot.

I was 10 when this movie came out. I still remember our local theater turned this hallway into a "tornado alley" with flashing lights and plastic cows hanging from the wall. I loved this movie. Any time it was on TV I would watch it. I would even borrow the VHS tape from a family friend of ours and watch it. It's so freaking good.

Now, watching this movie an an adult I can tell you there are so many things I never had reference about when I was a kid. One line that really made me laugh is in the beginning when Bill says "Jonas, he's a night crawler." He called him a worm. A worm! I had to pause the movie and laugh because until this very day I didn't get it.

So. Much. Technology! They had so much tech stuff and even camcorders mounted on the dash of Jo's truck. By that way I was in love with Jo's little yellow truck, I blame this movie on my obsessions with Jeeps. Dorthy was amazing <3 Dusty is my favorite <3

Some of my favorite lines are:

• "Rabbit is good. Rabbit is wise.
• "I gotta go Julia. We got cows."
• "Food. Foooood! Food!"
• "It's the extreme!

I felt bad for Melissa, thinking your going to start you new life with your new husband but instead go on a wild tornado chase, almost die a few times, and watch the man you love fall in love with someone else.

Side note: It warmed my Fat Girl heart that Jo's mother was plus size and her father was not. In fact he was rather cute.
